Why We Like The RockCar 12

When RockCar told us they were releasing a more affordable machine, we were excited and nervous at the same time.

The RockCar 15 has been our favourite machine for years. We didn't want to see corners cut simply to hit a lower price point.

So we did what we always do. We tested it, compared it side-by-side with the RockCar 15 and then took both machines apart to see what was actually inside.

What we found surprised us.

The RockCar 12 still uses a pure copper motor, steel gears, steel counterweight and an impressive cooling system with 101 cooling vents and holes throughout the machine. It uses the same style cooling backing plate as the RockCar 15 and remains far better built than many cheaper machines we've seen over the years.

The RockCar 15 has a larger motor, more throw, additional cooling and better ergonomics. It remains the better machine overall and our recommendation if budget allows.
