Comparing Car Wash Buckets: Dirt Traps vs. Mitt Slides for Scratch-Free Washing - Product Guide

Car wash buckets and dirt traps or mitt slides help prevent scratching. Adam here from Love Cars, and today, we’re looking at two bucket systems with different trap mechanisms to stop dirt from scratching your vehicle during washing.

We have two types of buckets. The Chemical Guys bucket features their logo, while the RockCar bucket is transparent, allowing you to easily see how clean your water is. These buckets are durable and strong, with a lower height that makes them easier to use during washing.

For trapping dirt, we have two options: the Dirt Trap and the Mitt Slide. The Dirt Trap uses narrow openings to let dirt fall through and stay at the bottom of the bucket. It comes in red or black and works with a two-bucket system to keep your wash water cleaner.

The Mitt Slide, on the other hand, allows you to rub your mitt against it to remove dirt more effectively. Both options fit snugly into our buckets, as well as standard M10 and Bunnings buckets. They’re designed to keep your wash mitt clean and reduce the risk of scratching during the wash process.

Both systems work well, and it’s down to personal preference whether you prefer the Dirt Trap or the Mitt Slide. If you have any questions, let us know at lovecars.co.nz. Thanks for watching!
