Autostolz Heavy Cut Correction Kit

Designed for maximum paint correction, this kit includes four genuine German-made Autostolz High Cut Pads, with the option to add a matching 500ml bottle of Autostolz Heavy Compound.

Whether you're tackling sanding marks, heavy swirl marks, oxidation, wash marring or neglected paintwork, this kit is designed to remove defects quickly and efficiently while maintaining excellent control and consistency.

This is the first step in a professional two-stage paint correction process and is ideal when maximum defect removal is the priority.

Rather than buying a large range of pads you may never use, this kit gives you more of the pad you actually need. Most correction work generates significant heat and rapidly loads the pad with removed clearcoat and spent compound. Having enough fresh pads available helps maintain cutting performance and protects both the pad and paint surface.

Why Four Pads?

One of the biggest mistakes people make when machine polishing is trying to complete an entire vehicle with a single cutting pad.

As you compound, the pad becomes loaded with removed paint residue and the foam temperature increases dramatically. Eventually the pad becomes less effective, cuts slower and can generate excessive heat.

As a rule of thumb, we recommend using approximately one pad per quarter of the vehicle, then swapping to a fresh cool pad. This helps maintain correction performance, improves finishing quality and extends pad life.

Professional detailers often use even more pads than this, but four pads is an excellent balance between performance, results and value.

Looking After Your Pads

Heavy correction work creates significant heat and contamination within polishing pads.

Clean pads as soon as possible after use using warm water and a dedicated pad cleaner. Use a stiff pad cleaning brush to work residue from the foam and rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear.

Allow pads to dry fully before storage. Stand them upright or place them polishing-face down so water can drain away. Avoid leaving pads sitting on their Velcro backing while wet.

Properly maintained pads will perform better, last longer and save money over time.
