Metal Polish Buffing Wheels

We have a large range of Zephyr Metal Polishing wheels, these are made in the USA by Zephyr, to the highest quality.  It is the combination of the metal polish buffing wheel and the right polishing compound bar that gets the results.  Metal is harder than paint, so polishing metal you use these wheels on their end on a variable speed sander/grinder.

The New Zephyr EZ money Buffing wheel is a game changer, it can take out 600 grit sand marks in one step with the Tripoli bar and finish to a high shine.  It is a lot wider than other metal polishing buffing wheels.  It is also significantly quieter to use than other Airway wheels.  

Also new are the Zephyr Muscle Polishing wheels, these are cutting wheels with a large opening to improve balance.  They have 5 pack of cotton as opposed to the traditional 2 pack, so there is a lot more cloth in the wheel.  the wheel is thicker, you get more contact area, so they cut more and last longer as well.  The Colours reflect the level of cut, in order of highest to lowest cut:

  • Red - Heaviest Cutting
  • Orange - Second Heaviest Cutting
  • Yellow - Third Heaviest Cutting
  • Charcoal - Fourth Heaviest Cutting
  • Dark Blue - Firth Heaviest Cutting
  • White Flannel - Final Finishing

You need to use a Safety Flange with Metal polishing buffing wheels, these are different depending on the wheel:
