Adams Foam Cannon Setup - with FREE Snow Foam (choose your Water Blaster)
I often get asked "well what do you use", or "what were you using in the video". This is my foam cannon set up, and I love it.
The quick connect is easy to connect to the original hose so I can still swap back to the original trigger, wands and accessories if I need to, and switch back, its super-fast easy and a great combo.
I use the Rockcar professional trigger upgrade, it's much better quality and the big plus is the swivel so the hose doesn't wind up on me all the time, I didn't realise how annoying that was until I upgraded, now I can't go back!
I use the Rockcar Stealth foam cannon in blackout edition, it's a great foam cannon. It foams really well, its super high quality, and you can get replacement parts for it. Over time the mesh filters get clogged, you can buy and replace them, and they are pretty cheap. You can change the orifice size if you have a different pressure/flow rate foam cannon, good to know if you ever change foam cannons you can modify it easily and cheaply. And if you break something you can buy sections and don't have to buy the whole thing. Accidently run over it in the drive? You can buy a new bottle, or a new top piece. Other foam cannons we have sold this was not possible and people had to buy a whole new foam cannon. I've taken these apart and they are super well-made and very simple and solid. Theres not much to go wrong other than if something goes in and causes a blockage, but if it does that's easy to sort. And it foams much better than any other foam cannon I have used, it has a wider intake hose than others, so gets more soap in, and the design produces amazing foam.
I have the Rockcar "twin shooter" Switch to alternate quickly between snow foam and water, it's pretty cool. And I have the soft hose with the stainless gravity ball upgrade, you need to cut it to length as it comes oversized to be trimmed so it can go in any foam cannon. I wouldn't use anything other than the Rockcar Stealth, it's awesome. Half of why I like it is it looks cool, a bit like coloured brake calipers, but it's also really helpful as when you get down low in the bottom it keeps moving to stay at the bottom of the bottle (if trimmed right), so even if you have the foam cannon on an angle, like if doing the sides or down low, it still gets that last little bit out.
The kit also comes with a bottle of my favorite snow foam, the new Autostolz Snow Foam. I have been waiting for this to arrive for some time and it's finally here. The best word I can use to describe it is "ridiculous". In testing both Michelle and I were going "whoa". It's not super strong which is good, its designed to be safe and cling to give more work time, and so remove more dirt that way rather than aggression. If your car is pretty clean and has good layers of protection on it you might get away with a touchless wash just with the snow foam, but if it is really dirty you will need to do a bucket wash as well. We have stronger soaps, but this is where I want to be on aggression and pH scale for a regular wash, if you can spray a foam on hose, it off and its perfect without touching, you have to wonder what that chemical is doing over time to your paint. I don't go there on my cars, the Autostolz Snow Foam is for me the best.
My process is simple, and pretty quick. I normally wash in the morning or early evening so I can see what I'm going but I'm not working in the hot sun, and the paint is cool to touch. I foam with this on the dry dirty car, let it soak about 5 mins, then rinse it off. Then I wash the wheels with Autostolz Wheel cleaner and a range of brushes then do a 2-bucket wash with Autostolz Premium Auto Wash. I use the fireball wash mitt, I think it's the best, I use the Rockcar totally transparent buckets, and the Mitt slides, one blue, one orange so I can tell them apart, they really do work. I use 2 buckets for the wash (and a separate bucket for the wheels with a normal dirt trap in the bottom), Having 2 buckets is easy, and does keep your wash water clean. But I'd rather wash with 1 bucket with a mitt slide than 2 buckets without a mitt slide. The Mitt slides work better than the normal dirt trap and grit guard as you can really clean your wash mitt as you go, while the dirt traps or grit guards work well but don't help you clean the wash mitt. Then I rinse off, spray while wet with the Autostolz enhanced spray wax, and dry with the Rockcar performer drying towel. I don't like blowers myself as they evaporate some water so can over time lead to dulling of paint and water spots from the evaporated water, but they are handy for areas like around the mirrors. And Last, I normally stop, and stare at it. Take a photo and go wow that looks good.
Give it a go and send me the after photos, would love to see and share them! Happy foaming! Adam.
