Rockcar Clay Kit – Pro | All 3 Grades + Lube + 2 Cloths
The complete kit. Every grade. Nothing left to buy.
When you're detailing seriously — whether professionally, across multiple cars, or just refusing to do things halfway — you need the right clay for the job in front of you. Not every car needs the same grade. The Pro Kit gives you all three.
What's in the kit:
- 1 × Rockcar Professional Grade Clay Bar – Light 100g (Green)
- 1 × Rockcar Professional Grade Clay Bar – Medium 100g (White)
- 1 × Rockcar Professional Grade Clay Bar – Heavy 100g (Red)
- 1 × Autostolz Quick Detailer & Clay Lube 500ml
- 2 × Rockcar Pegasus Microfiber Cloth 480gsm — Pinot Noir (exclusive to LoveCars)
The three grades — when to use each:
🟢 Light — your go-to for newer cars, freshly detailed paint, or anything that just needs a light refresh. Safest grade, lowest marring risk. Takes more passes than the medium but is the right call when the paint doesn't need anything heavier.
○ Medium — the workhorse. Right for most cars in most conditions. Faster than the light, removes more contamination, still safe for careful use without follow-up polishing on most paint types.
🔴 Heavy — reserved for serious contamination. Industrial fallout, heavy tar, overspray, cars that haven't been properly decontaminated in years. Maximum removal, higher marring risk. This bar assumes polishing is already in the plan.
Why clay before waxing or coating?
Coatings bond to bare paint. If your paint is contaminated, your coating bonds to the contamination — not the paint itself. It won't last, and it won't perform the way it should. Clay first, coat second. Every time. This is not a step you skip if you want the job done properly.
About the lube:
The Autostolz Quick Detailer & Clay Lube is the lube we trust alongside our clay bars. Formulated for maximum lubrication without breaking down the clay or leaving any residue behind. No wax, no sealant, nothing added to the paint — the surface stays completely bare and ready to bond. The best choice when preparing for ceramic coating. Antistatic formula helps slow dust re-accumulation.
About the cloths:
The Pegasus is our finest cloth. Made to a custom spec — 70/30 polyester/polyamide blend, 480gsm, fully edgeless, cornerless and tagless — colour matched personally to Pegasus Bay Pinot Noir by LoveCars founder Adam, and manufactured in South Korea exclusively for LoveCars. Two are included in the Pro Kit because serious detailing deserves a fresh cloth, and because once you use one you won't want to go back.
How to use:
- Assess the paint and select your grade — when in doubt, start with Medium
- Wash thoroughly to remove loose dirt before claying
- Work in the shade on cool paint
- Tear off about a third of the bar and flatten into a disc
- Spray the Autostolz lube generously — more is always better than not enough
- Glide the clay across the surface in straight lines with light pressure
- Fold regularly to bring a fresh surface forward
- Wipe with the Pegasus cloth and move on
- If you drop the clay, discard it immediately — no exceptions
- Always finish with protection — wax, sealant or ceramic coating
- If using the Heavy bar, always follow with a polish

A note on clay bar weights: not all 100g clay bars are actually 100g. We've stopped stocking certain brands after finding their bars were significantly underweight. Rockcar clay bars are a genuine 100g. We weigh them.
