Ceramic coatings offer long term protection and easier maintenance, but only when the surface is prepared properly.

Ceramic coatings rely on correct preparation to bond as they should. If the surface is not cleaned and decontaminated properly, the coating won't perform as intended.

We offer ceramic coatings on their own, as well as in kits designed to help you get the prep right. Our kits include a 500ml bottle of Fireball Reborn to remove oils and residue before application, along with Fireball polishing towels for correct buffing. We have subsidised these kits because we want you to apply ceramic coatings properly and get the best results.

Before applying any ceramic coating, the surface should be thoroughly washed and decontaminated. This means claying the paint with a quality clay bar and clay lube, optionally re washing, then cleansing the surface with Fireball Reborn.

Even brand new cars should be clayed. Paint will almost always have contamination from the factory, shipping, or transport. Claying is quick, easy, and makes a noticeable difference to how well a coating bonds. We recommend the ValetPro Clay Kit. Use light clay on new vehicles, medium clay on most cars, and heavy clay only where contamination is severe.

In some cases, an iron remover should also be used. Vehicles transported by train to a port can pick up iron contamination from rail dust, which is common on new German vehicles.
