Best Waterless Wash Kit - Ultimate Convenience & Protection
Best Waterless Wash Kit — Everything You Need, Nothing You Don't
The right product paired with the right cloths makes all the difference with waterless washing. This kit gives you both — our top-selling Autostolz SiO2 Ceramic Waterless Wash and the RockCar Roadie microfibre cloths we actually use ourselves, bundled together at a saving.
Buy them separately and you'll spend more. Buy them together and you're set up properly from the start.
Why the cloths matter as much as the product
Waterless washing is safe when done correctly. The two things that determine scratch risk are the lubrication in your product — which the Autostolz formula handles — and the quality of your cloth. Use a cheap cloth and you're dragging dirt across your paint. Use a proper 70/30 blend cloth with the right pile and you're lifting dirt safely away from the surface.
The RockCar Roadie is the cloth we use on our own cars. Here's why:
- 70/30 blend — 70% polyester, 30% polyamide. The polyamide is what makes it genuinely soft and non-scratching. Cheap cloths skip it.
- 400 x 400mm — large enough to fold into quarters and still have four clean surfaces to work with before swapping
- 250gsm high quality weave — substantial enough to absorb product and dirt without pushing it back into the paint
- Tagless, stickerless, cornerless — no hard edges or labels that could catch on paint
- Offset join away from corners — a small detail that makes a real difference to durability and scratch risk
- Made in South Korea — where the world's best microfibre is produced
Why we recommend the 10-cloth option
The key to safe waterless washing is swapping to a clean section of cloth regularly. Every time you fold to a fresh side you're ensuring dirty fibres aren't dragging back across your paint.
With 6 cloths you have enough to do the job carefully. With 10 cloths you have enough to work comfortably without thinking about it — fold, wipe a panel, fold again to a fresh section, keep going. Less mental effort, lower scratch risk, better result.
If you're washing a full car rather than just spot cleaning, we recommend the 10-cloth option. For keeping a few in the glovebox for quick touch-ups, 6 is fine.
What's in the kit
- 1 x Autostolz SiO2 Ceramic Waterless Wash 500ml
- Your choice of 6 or 10 RockCar Roadie microfibre cloths (400 x 400mm, 250gsm, 70/30 blend, made in South Korea)
How to use
Shake the waterless wash well before use. Use on cool surfaces only — do not exceed 30°C. Spray directly onto the panel or onto a folded Roadie cloth. Wipe in straight lines. Fold to a clean section of cloth after each panel. Buff dry. Swap to a fresh cloth as needed. Always test on a small inconspicuous area first. Do not allow the product to freeze.
Wash your cloths after each use with a dedicated microfibre cleaner — never fabric softener, which clogs the fibres and destroys their absorbency. Looked after properly these cloths will last years.
