Bird droppings, dust, fingerprints, water spots — they happen whenever and wherever. And on matte paint or a matte wrap, leaving contamination sitting on the surface isn't a great option. Most of it is mildly acidic or abrasive, and the longer it sits, the more opportunity it has to do damage.

The problem is you can't just grab any detailer spray off the shelf. Most quick detailers are loaded with gloss enhancers, light waxes, or shine-boosting additives — exactly what you don't want on a matte surface. Use the wrong one and you'll start to see uneven shiny patches appearing on your flat finish. It's a slow process, but it's irreversible.

What it does

Autostolz Matte Quick Detailer is a high-lubrication spray detailer built specifically for matte paint, matte vinyl wraps, and matte PPF. It safely lifts and removes dust, fingerprints, water spots, bird contamination, and light road film — without touching the surface texture that makes matte look the way it does.

No gloss enhancers. No waxes. No sealants. No ceramic chemistry. No residue. No streaks. It cleans and that's it — leaving your matte finish exactly as it should be.

The high lubrication formula gives the cloth the slip it needs to glide across the surface rather than drag. On matte surfaces where fine scratches are harder to address than on gloss, that lubrication matters.

It's also antistatic, which helps reduce the rate at which dust is attracted back to the surface after cleaning. A small thing, but a useful one.

This is one we genuinely recommend having on hand at all times if you own a matte car or wrap. Keep a 500ml bottle and a clean Rockcar Pegasus Cloth in your glovebox or boot. If a bird gets your paint while you're parked, or you pick up dust and fingerprints after a long drive, you can deal with it safely wherever you are — no need to wait until you get home.

The Pegasus Cloth is our go-to recommendation for use with this product. It's exceptionally soft, high pile, and designed for exactly this kind of delicate surface work. A clean, dedicated cloth kept specifically for this purpose is the right approach — not a cloth that's been used for anything else.

Directions

Shake well before use. Spray directly onto the surface or onto a quality microfibre cloth. Wipe to clean and remove. Can be used on dry or wet surfaces. Use on cool surfaces only — surface temperature should not exceed 30°C (86°F). Avoid direct sunlight. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first. Do not allow to freeze.
